The very special Porsche 964 Carrera 4 that Hofmann’s have the pleasure of offering here has undergone a full Retro Works GTR transformation to the tune of £45,000 (including bespoke interior trimming) in 2014, along with a £20,000, 9m Motec package full engine overhaul and rebuild by renowned Porsche specialists, Ninemeister 14000 miles ago, who have also carried out a host of other cosmetic and mechanical upgrades and improvements since on this cherished car.
Along with the power upgrades, which sees the new engine producing around 345-355 bhp, this car was also improved with 964 Turbo brake discs and much larger 993 calipers in red as well as Bilstein/Eibach suspension & powerflex bushes.
Accompanying this amazing car is a folder full of history including old MOT’s, invoices and service history from before and after the extensive works. There is also 2 keys and current V5.
The 964 was considered to be 85% new as compared to its predecessor, the Carrera 3.2. The first 964s available in 1989 were all wheel drive equipped “Carrera 4” models.
A new naturally aspirated engine called the M64 was used for 964 models, with a flat-6 displacement of 3.6 litres. Porsche substantially revised the suspension, replacing torsion bars with coil springs and shock absorbers. Power steering and ABS brakes were added to the 911 for the first time; both were standard. The exterior bumpers and fog lamps became flush with the car for better aerodynamics. A new electric rear spoiler raised at speeds above 50 mph and lowered down flush with the rear engine lid at lower speeds.
Prior to the new keeper taking delivery the car will go through a comprehensive pre sales inspection by one of our Porsche experienced technicians.
