This particular car presents in immaculate condition, a real time-capsule from the early 1990’s having been lavished with meticulous attention its entire life. Looking resplendent in Metallic ‘Nautic Blue’, with Beige leather interior along with the ubiquitous Burr Walnut trimmings. The car was chauffeur driven through much of the first decade of its life and cared for by Mercedes main agents in Sunningdale and Beaconsfield, following the exact schedules which included up to 3 services in some years. It passed to its current owner in 1999 who has accumulated much fewer miles in the car but has continued to keep the car in excellent condition. It has spent two long stretches in dry storage (from 2004 through to 2009 then 2010 through to 2023) and on both occasions has been professionally recommissioned. The paint is in excellent condition with no signs of any repairs and so is the interior. The chassis underneath is extremely good condition, all the metalwork is solid with only very light surface corrosion in places. Mechanically the car wants for nothing, with the items requiring attention during its most recent recommissioning all attended to at a cost of circa £5K. It would be a challenge indeed to find a better example of this appreciating classic – a car that is as useable as it is beautiful.
