ABOUT THIS CAR

Hofmann’s have the pleasure of offering to market this truly iconic and beautiful series 3 Jaguar E Type Roadster V12.  Finished in its original Old English White paintwork over Dark Blue leather with brand new blue convertible roof and very rare factory hard top, this fully numbers matching example was originally manufactured on 23rd February 1973 and was supplied to its original distributer, A.G. Beal on 9th March the same year.

Having been lovingly cared for by its current owner since April 2011, this 5 owner E Type delivers everything you would expect from such an iconic and classic car. The engine is beautifully smooth and very responsive, through the gears the car performs fantastically well and through the corners the ride and handling is truly effortless, with little or no rattles from bodywork or trim. This car is a true drivers car and ready to move into the next stage of its fantastic history.

Its original books, Centre lock wheel tools and jack, old MOT’s dating, current V5 and Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate & service history dating back to the running in service in 1973 (the latest being carried out in June 2019) accompany the car. It will also have a new MOT completed prior to collection by its lucky new owner.

The Jaguar E-Type is a British sports car that was manufactured by Jaguar Cars Ltd between 1961 and 1975. Its combination of beauty, high performance, and competitive pricing established the model as an icon of the motoring world. The E-Type’s 150 mph top speed, sub-7-second 0 to 60 mph acceleration, monocoque construction, disc brakes, rack-and-pinionsteering, and independent front and rear suspension distinguished the car and spurred industry-wide changes.

The E-Type was initially designed and shown to the public as a rear-wheel drive grand tourer in two-seater coupé form and as a two-seater convertible “roadster. Later model updates of the E-Type were officially designated “Series 2” and “Series 3”, and over time the earlier cars have come to be referred to as “Series 1.

As with all our vehicles the car will go through a comprehensive pre-sales inspection by one of our classic Jaguar experienced technicians.

All vehicles supplied through Hofmann’s have funding options available and part exchanges welcome.
