This example comes with a very comprehensive history folder and a service carried out by us in September 2019.
In 2007 Caterham moved from the iconic K Series engine to the Ford Sigma unit which is lighter and more powerful meaning 60mph was achieved in 5.9 seconds (although it feels so much quicker) and more torque making it noticeably quicker on the road. With this added midrange flexibility you’ll rarely be calling on the 6100rpm needed for peak power. Not content with a new engine supplier, Caterham also outsourced chassis construction, adopting MIG-welding to increase torsional stiffness. Over the deepest potholes, the bobbing front wheels can lead you to expect the worse, but the stiffer chassis actually minimises intrusions to a level you could almost call comfortable. Overall it offers an enigmatic mix of old-school drama with modern day flexibility.
As with all our cars here at Hofmann’s the car has undergone a comprehensive pre sales inspection by one of our trained technicians.
All vehicles supplied through Hofmann’s have funding options available, are all warranted and part exchanges welcome.
