The BMW M3 Manual Coupe offered here at Hofmann’s is a 2004 “54 Plate” which has covered a mere 63,678 miles from new. Finished in the perfect colour of Carbon Black with Grey Leather interior this stunning M3 boasts a very comprehensive history, last carried out in September 2016 and has hardly moved since. Dick Lovett Swindon carried out the all-important running in service in January 2005 at 1,355 miles. Along with the stamped book the 3 previous owners have kept a good file with invoices and receipts. Over and above the high standard specification this car boasts the following options; Grey Nappa Leather, Heated Seats, Electric Seats with Memory, Business Stereo and 19” Alloy Wheels.
The M3 was first launched in 1985 as a Coupe named the E30, which continued until 1992, 1992 to 1999 saw the E36, which introduced the 4-door saloon and 2 door convertible. In 2000 BMW launched the now iconic E46 M3, with it’s timeless looks these cars are destined to be a great investment. The E46 is powered by BMW’s own 3.2 straight six producing 338bhp. As with most M Engines this car has 6 independent throttle bodies but now electronically controlled. With a healthy 365nm of torque at 4,900rpm the M3 Coupe hits 62mph and 5.1 seconds and continues all the way to a limited 155mph.
What’s it like? From the power bulge on the bonnet to the vented flared arches the M3 stands the test of time very well! Start this car and the noise is like nothing else on the market! Although the stats are good, it feels quicker than quoted. No matter how you drive the M3 it doesn’t feel 14 years old, the planted feel and ride quality are hard to beat even with a modern car. The E46 is named the last of the driver’s M cars, and I can well believe it.
As with all our vehicles the car will go through comprehensive presales inspection by one of our BMW experienced technicians.
All vehicles supplied through Hofmann’s have funding options available, are all warranted and part exchanges welcome.
