The AMR V12 7 Speed manual coupe here at Hofmann’s is a 2018 “18 Plate” which has covered a mere 402 miles from new. Finished with the Halo Package, which includes the stunning Stirling Green paint with Lime Green Stripe to celebrate the World Endurance Championship-winning #95 car. First introduced way back in 2005 the Vantage finally retired in 2017 with this, the final swansong named the AMR. Mechanically they’re identical to the mainstream models, except the V12 which they have managed to magic a further 30bhp creating a staggering 595bhp. Limited to 300 cars worldwide (200 V8’s and 100 V12’s) and only a handful in the 7-speed manual this is sure to be a collector’s car.
What’s it like? The tense, muscle-bound Vantage shape is so familiar now it’s easy to overlook just how pretty is still is! The switchgear, incidentally, is now much better and easier to use than the fiddly controls fitter to earlier cars and the infotainment system in now intuitive and easy to use. Sit in the this car with the fixed back seats, slide the oblong glass key in to the slot and enjoy the spine tingling sound track created by the monstrous V12.
