The Aston Martin Vanquish was launched at the 2001 Geneva Motor Show to much acclaim. Designed by Ian Callum this iconic car, was the last to be produced at the Newport Pagnell factory. Designed with lots of its influences taken from the current DB7 and Project Vantage concept car.
The Vanquish was the first production Aston Martin to utilise the all-new VH aluminium riveted and bonded platform. With a carbon fibre transmission tunnel bonded to the extruded aluminium front and rear bulkheads. The bodywork also included an industry first, with its shapely exterior panels been hot-formed by a process called “Superforming.”
