What is a Digital Service Booklet or DSB?

In today’s digital age, the automotive industry has embraced technological advancements to enhance various aspects of the driving experience. One such innovation is the Mercedes Digital Service Booklet or DSB, a digital platform that revolutionizes the management of vehicle maintenance and service records. DSB stores service information pertinent to your car on a secure online server, managed by Mercedes Benz and accessible by Vehicle owners, Mercedes Benz Service Centres and Authorised Mercedes Benz Independent Garages, like ourselves.

What are the benefits of the Digital Service Booklet or DSB?

    1. You get a free digital recording of all the maintenance and repair work done on your vehicle.
    2. You receive proof that the maintenance has been done, which is useful for you as a customer.
    3. You can easily see an overview of all the services provided and access the data about your vehicle.
    4. In case you lose your service booklet, you still have security because all the information is stored digitally. This is also more convenient when you are abroad or when you change workshops.

How to get Mercedes service history?

Your vehicle’s service history is recorded using the Digital Service Booklet. This is the case for most vehicles produced since July 2008. A copy of this can be obtained from a Mercedes-Benz Retailer or authorised Independent Specialist or by contacting the Customer Assistance Centre on: 00800 9777 7777.

You can also view your Digital Service Report directly on Mercedes me by following this LINK.

Select the relevant vehicle under “My vehicles”. Please click on ” Digital Service Report” in the “Mercedes me assist” section on the vehicle page. Now you only need to activate the Digital Service Report by entering the six-character security code (SecCode).

You can find the code on the printed service report (maintenance sheet) which you received from your authorised Mercedes-Benz dealer when you collected the vehicle.

Please note that the Digital Service Report is only available for vehicles produced from July 2008 onwards.

Can an Independent Mercedes Benz Specialist access you Digital Service Booklet?

Under the EU block exemption rules, vehicle manufacturers are generally obliged to provide access to technical information, including digital service booklets, to independent repairers on fair and non-discriminatory terms. The aim is to foster competition in the automotive aftermarket and ensure consumers have the freedom to choose where to have their vehicles serviced.

Digital service booklets contain important records of a vehicle’s service history, including maintenance and repair activities. Independent Mercedes Benz specialists, like other independent repairers, may request access to these digital service booklets to provide comprehensive and accurate maintenance and repair services to Mercedes Benz vehicles.
