Car No.6 here has covered a mere 26000 miles in its 14 years which it wears extremely well, with very little sign of use at all and is a testament to its previous owners, accompanying this much loved example is a complete and comprehensive service history carried out by Vauxhall in the early years, and latterly by performance car specialists Adrian Blyth and Back on Track. The latest service was completed in January 2019 by ourselves along with a new MOT. This particular car also benefits from an Alpine DAB headunit with DAB aerial and Parrot hands free phone kit, VXR Performance exhaust as well as the factory original hard top and soft top.
The Vauxhall VX220 is a British built mid-engined sports roadster which was developed and built at the Lotus Cars plant in Hethel, Norfolk in conjunction with the Lotus Elise. It was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1999 and production started in 2000.
in 2004, a limited run of sixty five track focused Speedsters were produced for the United Kingdom. The cars, badged Vauxhall VXR220, were equipped with larger brakes, upgraded tyres and lowered suspension, and tuned to produce 220 hp. Other features included more performance oriented seats, VXR performance exhaust and unique Speedline alloy wheels. The wheels are 16 in at the front and 17 in at the rear – the same as the Elise. Calypso Red was the only available exterior colour
