The only upgrade to this vehicle over and above standard is a Larini Club-Sport exhaust system and the much improved 52mm throttle body, both of which were fitted in 2016.
The Lotus Elise is a two-seat, rear-wheel drive, mid-engined roadster conceived in early 1994 and released in September 1996 by the British manufacturer Lotus Cars. When originally conceived and released, the Elise was supplied with Metal Matrix Composite (MMC) brake discs in combination with specific MMC brake pads. In general it is agreed that an MMC brake setup provides excellent brake performance and feel along with also being extremely light, reducing the unsprung weight of each wheel. Later cars came with standard steel discs making these early cars with their correct brakes highly desirable.
