Lotus Evora 2+2

The Lotus Evora was first first unveiled at the 2008 British Motor Show. It was based on the first all-new vehicle platform from Lotus Cars since the introduction of the Elise in 1995. The name “Evora” keeps up the tradition of Lotus cars beginning their model names with the letter “E”. The name is derived from the words evolution, vogue, and aura. The Evora is currently the only Lotus car offered in a 2+2 configuration, which is made possible by its larger proportions in comparison to Lotus’s existing, track focused, offerings. The Evora offered exclusivity in a competitive market flooded by cars such as the Porsche Cayman. The car was available from launch with a 3.5 litre V6 petrol engine, which produced 276 bhp and an impressive 350 N/m of torque. This lively power plant propelled the car from 0-62 mph in just 4.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 163 mph.
